More than a chair. A place to grow your own thing.

Premium space, zero corporate

Real barber chairs in a boutique studio — not a cookie-cutter suite. Come in, have a beer, chill, and give a great cut. That's the vibe.

Smooth onboarding

License, insurance, deposits — all handled through Square ACH. No emails back and forth, no clunky paperwork. You apply, we vet, you book your tour.

A buffer, not a boss

Ang helps you transition from commission to independent without the fear. She's been there. You get guidance, not management — you run your own business.

Community that gets it

You're surrounded by other independent stylists who are leveling up. Share clients, share knowledge, grow together. Not isolation — a shop.

From DM to chair in four clean steps.

1. Apply online — Fill out the application. Tell us about your work, your Instagram, and what you're looking for.

2. We vet and connect — Ang reviews your application and reaches out. If it's a fit, we schedule a tour.

3. Tour the Clubhouse — See the studio, feel the vibe, ask questions. No pressure.

4. Onboard and start — License, insurance, and deposit through Square ACH. Book your calendar, set your prices, and start building.

The Clubhouse studio space

Built by a stylist, for stylists.

Ang has been doing hair for over 20 years. She opened her first studio, ran it for five years, spent a year renting elsewhere, and then found her second space — the Clubhouse.

She built this because she lived the problem: commission salons feel safe but cap your income and your independence. Opening your own shop is scary. The Clubhouse is the in-between — a place where you're independent but not alone.

20+ years behind the chair. Two studios. One mission: help stylists level up on their own terms.

Things stylists ask before applying.

Who is the Clubhouse for?
+

Independent barbers and stylists in NYC who are currently charging $90–$100 per cut and want to level up their service and experience without going fully alone. If you're tired of commission salons but scared to open your own shop, this is the in-between.

How is this different from Salons by JC or Mane Space?
+

Those are corporate rental models — functional but generic. The Clubhouse is boutique, independent, and run by someone who's been behind the chair for 20+ years. You get a real mentor and a space with personality, not a cubicle with a mirror.

What does onboarding look like?
+

You apply online, Ang reviews and reaches out, you tour the space, and if it's a fit, we handle license verification, insurance, and deposit through Square ACH. You set your own calendar and prices from day one.

Do I need to be licensed?
+

Yes — a valid New York State cosmetology or barber license is required. We verify it during onboarding along with your insurance.

Will I be managed or told what to do?
+

No. That's the whole point. You're independent. Ang is a resource and a buffer — she helps you get set up and transition smoothly, but you run your own business, your own way.
